Persephone from Lore Olympus Cosplay Makeup Transformation + Video Tutorial

Persephone from Lore Olympus Cosplay Makeup Transformation + Video Tutorial

Hello, readers! My latest obsession is the Lore Olympus webtoon by Rachel Smythe, so it’s only fitting that my cosplay and content choices reflect this newfound love. Lore Olympus is a modern retelling of various stories in Greek mythology, featuring monochromatic character designs of gods and goddesses like everyone’s favorite OTP, Hades and Persephone. I decided transform myself into Persephone because I am a reformed “I hate pink!” girl (oh, awkward adolescence and internalized misogyny, I do not miss you at all.), and I’m reveling in my new appreciation for the color. I also just relate to Persephone because she is short, curvaceous, and very much into flowers: three of my defining characteristics as well. I also happened to already own the perfect fur coat, lenses, and short pink wig to recreate the look in this particular picture of Persephone:

My efforts are below:

Here are some of the progress pictures I took while working on my Persephone cosplay makeup. I like to call this collage “T H E P I N K E N I N G”

I’m not one to brag, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t pretty damn pleased with myself when I finished applying all the makeup and bodypaint. If you also find yourself quite pleased with my work, then you’ll be happy to know that I shot and edited a detailed video tutorial depicting my Persephone cosplay transformation.

If you’re curious about the products I used, I’ve listed them both in the YouTube video description and below!

I don’t have anything else to add except that I hope you enjoyed this post! If you found it helpful, please feel free to share it or comment on it. You can also sub to both my blog and my YouTube channel if you want more content like this! I’ll leave you with a parting gift of some makeup closeups and additional pics of my cosplay.

I took this picture with my Nikon D5600. I cannot stress enough how much I love that camera. Such fashion. Such power. Such flower.

As always, thanks a bunch for reading and taking an interest in my artsy endeavors!
